National Police Service Commission is participating in the 6th Annual General Assembly of the Association African Public Service Commissions (AAPSCOMS) at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi. Speaking during the opening ceremony, Vice Chairperson Dr. Alice Otwala highlighted the mandate of the Commission, and the strides made in executing the human resource functions in the National Police Service. Dr. Otwala said the Conference presents an opportunity for public service institutions to benchmark on the best practices from other African Countries.
In his keynote address, Hon. Justin Muturi, Cabinet Secretary for Public Service and Human Resource Development, underscored Kenya’s commitment to championing innovative reforms within the public sector. He said the event was timely emphasizing on the need to embrace technology to enhance efficient service delivery to citizens.
Public Service Commission Chairperson and AAPSCOMs Vice President- East Africa Region Amb. Anthony Muchiri said the event highlights the need for transparent, accountable, and responsive public service systems to meet the evolving needs of African citizens.
The three-day assembly themed- “Driving Public Service Delivery Transformation through Innovation and Technology,” brings together over 100 international delegates from AAPSCOMS member commissions across the continent, alongside 200 local representatives from chapter 15 commissions, independent offices, select ministries, and state departments.
The Vice Chairperson was accompanied by the CEO Peter Leley and other Senior officials from the Commission.
